The Handmade Cooperative recently did a call out for people to make at least 1 pillowcase for the charity Pillowcases for Oncology Kids (POK). this charity was founded in 2011 by 15 year old Brittany who had also been through her own cancer journey. The aim of the charity is to provide a special pillowcase for those children in hospitals around Australia also suffering though this dreadful disease.
I have had a chance to make one pillowcase so far using appliques from my
Kokeshi Doll quilt pattern and hopefully a few more at least.
What a great cause, going there now.
